Civacon Concepts Limited was registered in January 2007 as a wholly owned Zambian company providing multi-disciplinary engineering and project management services. The idea for the business is based on the fact that there is a widespread demand for full engineering support services and well- focussed customer solutions. Civacon strives to achieve this by providing economical and efficient solutions. The ultimate bigger goal for Civacon is to have presence in any part of the world that our clients would like us to work. In this quest, we have in May 2017 opened up Civacon Concepts in Zimbabwe to serve our clients up there. The aim of our business model is to enable us deliver solutions that can favourably compete with the best in the industry at an affordable and reasonable price within the stipulated completion time barring any unforeseen circumstances. In addition to our own HSE requirements we shall observe and act in line with our customer’s Health, Safety and Environment requirements in all the work that we undertake. We always continue to uphold HSE values with the greatest priority through regular meetings, risk assessments or reviews. Throughout the project duration there will be some appropriate hold points where Project Health Safety and Environment Reviews shall be undertaken with representation from all project stakeholders. We believe that a key factor in ensuring the health and safety of all individuals is the identification of risk and the subsequent enforcement of risk mitigation measures. To this aim we have developed a large suite of durable risk assessments for general tasks that are supplemented on the day by a review of the prevailing conditions and other work in the location. For more complex tasks we will produce combined task risk assessments and method statements (RAMS). These mitigation measures are all highly integral parts of our ‘putting people to work safely’, which we believe is fundamental in achieving success in safety. We shall ensure control of work processes are complied with as well as all work permitting processes and procedures.
